“A ringfence is a term used in investment banking to denote the virtual barrier that segregates an individual’s (or company’s) financial assets from the rest" - Samke Mhlongo

Businesswoman Samke Mhlongo is on a new book journey

Samke Mhlongo is a founder and Chief Executive of The Next Chapter Wealth Partners, a consultancy that specialises in corporate training workshops in the fields of personal wealth management.

Mhlongo is an all rounder and jack of all trades, as she is a reality tv star starring at SABC 1’s newest reality show called Queens of Mzansi, a show that focuses on women empowerment. Samke is also a presenter in various media outlets and now an official author of a book called Ringfence.

Ringfence is a financial literacy chick-lit with psychological and legal themes. This captivating coming-of-age novel explores the illusions many young African women have about love, wealth, status and power in society. Ringfence, inspired by Samke Mhlongo’s real-life events.

The book is set in the enigmatic world of Africa’s inconspicuous elite where wealth, power and pedigree are non-negotiable.

It further presents thought-provoking experiences of GBV, sexual harassment and financial abuse that find a principal audience among college students, young professionals, corporates that champion women empowerment, professionals in media and readers of African literature.

“A ringfence is a term used in investment banking to denote the virtual barrier that segregates an individual’s (or company’s) financial assets from the rest, with the primary purpose of protecting them from loss when engaging in riskier operations. Ringfence is a command warning the reader to set up legal, financial, physical and psychological barriers that will protect their wellbeing from the negative impact of life’s risky events such as death, divorce and abuse,”

commented Samke Mhlongo.

Ringfence includes 385 pages and 121,500 words and readers are engrossed in the book from the first page. Ringfence is available for purchases at Exclusive books.
