YoungstaCPT and Reebok drop limited-edition sneaker – the Oh-Two-1
A SNEAKER THAT TELLS A STORY
Celebrated South African-born cultural icon, hip-hop artist, and entrepreneur YoungstaCPT has teamed up with Reebok for a collaboration that’s about to change the game — introducing the Oh-Two-1, a bold, limited-edition sneaker inspired by the area code of his birthplace, Cape Town (021).
More than just footwear, the Oh-Two-1 is a mixtape in motion — every detail, texture, and stitch tells a story. Designed by YoungstaCPT himself and brought to life with original illustrations by fellow Capetonian Ross Solomon, the sneaker embodies a life lived in rhythm with the streets — from Cape Town to the world.
Rooted in the Cape Flats, made for the world
This collaboration is a true salute to the Cape Flats, a visual and cultural diary wrapped in leather and sole. From spray cans and Metrorail trains to the legendary Gatsby sandwich, every design element celebrates Cape Town’s street legacy.
You’ll find nods to cassette tapes, arcade buttons, washing lines, and taxi rides — everyday elements of township life reimagined through Reebok’s design lens. The silhouette is based on the Reebok Pump OmniZone, a ‘90s classic reborn with serious attitude.
The tough outsole draws inspiration from Cape Town’s streets and highways, while the yellow-orange gradient mirrors those unforgettable Table Mountain sunrises and sunsets. It’s art. It’s legacy. It’s pure Cape Town hustle.

“Reebok has always been for my city”
A lifelong supporter of the brand, YoungstaCPT describes the partnership as natural and organic, a collaboration born from his community and his craft.
“Truth be told, Reebok has always been that iconic sneaker every kid in the hood wanted. I’ve been wearing Reebok since I was knee-high. Even before the music, this brand was for my city, for my people — a brand for everyone who built something out of nothing,” says YoungstaCPT.
“This collab for me is about building a legacy for my people, claiming our stake, and living to our true potential. Nobody ever said it was going to be easy. This is what perseverance looks like — those ten thousand hours we put in.”
Part of Reebok’s Pure Mzansi Gold series
The Oh-Two-1 forms part of Reebok South Africa’s Pure Mzansi Gold series, an ongoing celebration of the country’s finest artists, athletes, and pop culture icons.
Following in the footsteps of the late great AKA, YoungstaCPT becomes the third South African to design a signature Reebok sneaker — and the Oh-Two-1 stands as the most valuable local sneaker collaboration in the brand’s history.
“YoungstaCPT fits the Reebok attitude more than anyone,” says PJ Morilly, Reebok South Africa. “He’s a leader. A storyteller. Someone who carved his own path. That’s exactly the kind of energy we want to champion.”
“You can’t be a challenger without ruffling some feathers,” adds Kevin Duke, Reebok Global Product Director. “Like Shaq and Iverson, YoungstaCPT brings a unique voice to the global stage.”
A drop worth the hype
To celebrate the release, Reebok is dropping a two-part mini documentary that dives deep into the creative process — told in mixtape style. Expect raw stories, real influence, and behind-the-scenes moments featuring everyone who helped bring the vision to life.
Only 500 pairs of the Oh-Two-1 exist — each signed, numbered, and packaged with a custom sleeve and sticker sheet inspired by YoungstaCPT’s mixtapes and lyrics.
Where to cop the Oh-Two-1
The Oh-Two-1 officially drops Friday, 31 October for R3,999 at Reebok Canal Walk and select retailers including Sportscene, Studio88, Shelflife, Sneaker District, and Y?Gen.
It will also be available online at Reebok.co.za.
