EmpowaWomen Celebrates Women Leaders at Bubbles & Nibbles Soirée

Over 100 influential women leaders gathered at the EmpowaWomen Bubbles & Nibbles Soirée, a culminating event of Women’s Month.

During the Soiree, the inaugural EmpowaWomen Awards was launched, celebrating exceptional women who have made significant contributions to their industries and communities.

Award Winners

• Lift as You Rise Award: This award recognizes a woman leader who has empowered and mentored other women, embodying the spirit of elevating others. Winner: TETA CEO Maphefo Anno-Frempong.
• Diversity and Inclusion Champion: This award honours a leader dedicated to creating inclusive environments and fostering diversity within their organization. Winner: Nene Molefi, CEO of Mandate Molefi HR Consultants.
• Social Impact Leader: This award recognises a woman who has made a substantial positive contribution to society through her work. Winner: Sibu Mabena, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Duma Collective.
• Media Impact Award: This award honours a woman who has used media to create positive change and influence public opinion. Winner: Nwabisa Makunga, Sowetan/SANEF.
• Lifetime Achievement Award: This award honours a woman who has made extraordinary contributions to her field and inspired generations. Winner: Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka.
• Trailblazer Award: This award recognizes a woman who has broken new ground in her industry, challenging traditional norms and paving the way for future generations of female leaders. Winner: Gugu Mkhize, CEO, INSETA.
• Thought-Leader Award: This award recognizes a woman leader who has demonstrated exceptional foresight, strategic thinking, and innovation in driving business success. Winner: Delia Ndlovu, Chairperson, Deloitte.
• Dreamweaver Award: This award recognizes a woman leader who has transformed her vision into reality, inspiring others to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Winner: Tryphosa Romano, Founder and Director of Magommake Consultancy
• Gastronomic Entrepreneur Award: This award recognizes a woman entrepreneur who has successfully established and operated a thriving restaurant business, demonstrating culinary excellence, business acumen, and a commitment to community engagement. Winner: Naomi Lele Ratsheko, owner of 1947 Restaurant.
