Andile Cele On Running Dope Streetwear Brand For 14 Years

Andile Cele is considered to be one of the pioneers of streetwear fashion in South Africa, his story began about fourteen years ago and he has built a solid brand over the years.

Andile Cele’s humble beginnings started when he opened up his very own streetwear store in downtown Johannesburg as he saw himself as a leader in ready-to-wear sports luxury clothing. Today, he is playing with the big boys in one of the trendiest shopping malls in South Africa.

Over the years, Andile has launched five individual lines under the DOPE brand: DOPEorange, which features streetwear influenced by hip-hop and youth culture; DOPEwhite, a trendy collection that incorporates modern tastes; DOPEblack, an experimental line with a more formal feel; DOPEplus comprises quality leather goods and DOPEhomme which uses deluxe materials to set tomorrow’s trends.
