Castle Milk Stout Brand Manager Khensani Mkhombo chats Ancestors Day
Castle Milk Stout together with the Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (CONTRALESA) and the National House of the Traditional and Khoisan leaders savored the moment in celebration of the highly anticipated Ancestors’ Day at The Pavilion, Cradle Boutique Hotel situated in the heart of The Cradle Of Human Kind. This marked the second Ancestors’ Day commemoration since its inception in May 2021.
“May is Africa Month and we wanted to make sure that people use the first weekend of this month to remember those that came before us, who taught us our ways as Africans. Basically, we wanted to open Africa Month by commemorating and remembering who we truly are,”
says Khensani Mkhombo, the Brand Manager for Castle Milk Stout.
Mkhombo adds that Castle Milk Stout together with CONTRALESA, the National House of Traditional Khoisan Leaders amongst other stakeholders has embarked on a campaign to lobby the government to officially declare 8 May as Ancestors Day on the national calendar.
As the brand wraps up this year’s Ancestors’ Day, the efforts to get Ancestor’s Day officially recognized on the national calendar, all Africans are encouraged to add their voice by signing the petition on the Castle Milk Stout website www.castlemilkstout.co.za, And also sharing what their Ancestors mean to them for a chance to win R5000.
