Duma Collective founder Sibu Mabena on Multichoice Deal & raising millions with Fundi Fund

Creative entrepreneur Sibu Mabena is the founder of Duma Collective which is a 100% black female-owned creative communications agency that services FMCG brands, event production companies, performing talent as well as government departments in South Africa and the rest of Africa.

Sibu took sometime to chat to us about her company being appointed to oversee public relations and social media for DStv, General Entertainment channels and the Multichoice group’s corporate brand. Mabena also opens up about her involvement in the Fundi Fund which is raising millions of rands to assist South African students.

Sibu is a young creative with extensive experience in event production, sponsorship acquisition, performance direction, street and social media marketing. Having worked on several live events and TV shows, her exposure serves as a good creative springboard for a variety of communications platforms from linear and digital, to stages and experiential events.
